Natasha North represented CNPDI at the Tropical Health Education Trust (THET) Conference in London last month. She presented an abstract entitled “Building the children’s nursing workforce for Africa, in Africa: sustaining and growing capacity through education, research and system strengthening”.
The presentation was very well received, and Natasha was delighted to be awarded the conference prize for best abstract presentation. When reflecting on the experience, Natasha felt that this presentation the ability to present the insights about how and why CNPDI’s approach is effective arises from the work undertaken in our programme over the past year to evaluate progress and produce a five year plan for presentation to funders.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity to arrange meetings to explore potential UK-UCT collaborations and to engage with existing and potential funders. Through being in London, Natasha was able to contribute to a fundraising evening event organised by the Children’s Hospital Trust on Tuesday 25th Sept.
The Harry Crossley Children's Nursing Development Unit is very grateful to our supporters.
